Cilas 1190 PARTICLE SIZE ANALYZER

The Cilas 1190 laser particle size analyzer sets the standard for particle characterization.  This research instrument incorporates three lasers ensuring the highest level of accuracy for product development and research.  The three laser design allows the highest level of accuracy and precision for the entire measurement range between 0.04 and 2,500 microns.

Measurements can be made in either wet or dry dispersion modes and switching modes can be done with a single click of the mouse. Our innovative design eliminates the need for the operator to swap hardware when switching modes.  Cilas’ new dry jet dispersion technology guarantees even the most difficult particles can be analyzed accurately.

The 1190 uses Cilas’ patented multi-laser technology.  Three lasers are used to measure the widest range of particles with an exceptionally high level of accuracy and reproducibility.  All optical components are permanently mounted on a rigid cast iron base plate.  This design eliminates the need to ever realign the system, ensuring the highest level of performance.

For product development, it is becoming increasingly important to understand particle shape along with particle size.  To meet this growing demand, Cilas has integrated an image analysis system into our analyzers. This allows the 1190 to capture, measure, display and analyze particle shape along with traditional particle size distribution data.  Shape parameters such as aspect ratio, shape factor, area, perimeter and fiber length can be measured.

The Cilas 1190 is compliant with the ISO 13320 standard for particle size analyzers, as well as the 21 CRR part 11 standard.
