SHORT CAST IRON BASEPLATE |
|
In order to ensure accuracy and durability, Cilas
laser particle size analyzers are designed with all optical components
permanently mounted on a short cast iron baseplate.
This unique design eliminates the need to ever realign the
instrument. Laser particle size analyzers from any other manufacturer will
require the operator to align their instrument on a regular basis. Cilas'
design allows the operator to remove the optical cell for cleaning without the
additional headache of realigning the system. A permanently aligned system
will consistently provide more accurate results since the optics are always
correctly aligned. |
 |
 |
Another benefit of Cilas' unique short cast iron baseplate design is that a
Cilas instrument will work in any environment. Other vendors of laser
particle size analyzers require that their instruments are placed in a
vibration-free environment. With a Cilas analyzer, the instrument can
be placed anywhere in the facility and the permanently aligned optics will
ensure accurate measurements. |
|
Cilas laser particle size analyzers are so rugged that they can withstand
significant damage and still remain in alignment. The picture above shows
shipping damage sustained when a forklift went through the box during
shipping to a customer.
After the system was returned to us, our service department took the damaged
instrument right out of the box and ran a performance verification check
using a NIST traceable standard. The certificate to the right shows
that the damaged instrument passed the performance verification test. The permanently mounted optics were still in alignment!
